Frequently Asked Questions
How is this course different from others out there?
There are so many parenting and sleep courses out there, so I know it can be hard to choose one.
In the infant sleep world, most courses, guides and professionals use separation based sleep training techniques, out-dated information and methods that are not evidence based.
There is NONE of that here!
The restful sleeper course is 100% based on responsive parenting, attachment theory and real, evidence based solutions to the sleep challenges you might be facing.
This course was designed when I noticed how many parents needed an affordable option to help them with their children's sleep.
You simply will not find this information & value at this price point ANYWHERE else!
What are your qualifications?
I'm a double internationally certified pediatric sleep specialist (Baby-led sleep and wellbeing specialist - Isla Grace & Holistic sleep Coach - Lyndsey Hookway)
I also have a degree in Speech, Language and Hearing therapy & an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Stellenbosch and as a health care worker I've worked with hundreds of families and young children from all walks of life.
You can rest easy that I've put in the work, so that you can comfortably take it from here.
For how long do I have access?
Once you purchase it, you have access for life.
The e-book and workbook is also yours to download and keep so you can refer back to it as needed.
What topics do you cover?
In Module 1&2:
I take you through all the sleep foundations, so you can learn how sleep actually works and why babies & toddlers wake. You'll also learn all about your child's temperament and sensory profile and why this is such a big part of the puzzle.
In Module 3:
We take a look at the differences between sleep training and the Responsive approach to sleep, so you can be sure you're making informed decisions.
Takes a deep dive into what sleep actually looks like at different ages, so you can know what is normal and when it might be time to look a bit deeper
Is all about solving your specific sleep challenges. From naptime niggles & bedtime battles to false starts, split nights and early morning wakes.
I also walk you through making changes in a respectful way, step-by-step and give tips on getting another caregiver involved.
Finally, I've dedicated a whole module to just you. Looking at ways you can improve your own sleep and rest and take care of your own wellbeing in this season of parenthood
Is it Sleep Training?
No, and it never will be.
My approach to sleep is 100% responsive and puts your attachment relationship with your child at the forefront.
The biggest "sell" of traditional sleep training methods is the "quick fix" guarantee attached to it.
When we focus on setting realistic expectations based on what is developmentally appropriate, considering your unique child's whole sleep universe (from temperament, to sensory profile, sleep needs attachment needs and more) we can truly meet your little one where they are and address specific sleep challenges where it matters: at the root cause. We can also make changes in a respectful way that honours your child, but also your own needs as a parent and a family as a whole.
